The first meeting of the Startup Community Poznań took place in September 2016 at Starbucks. Only a few people came: founders, people with ideas, product creators, and those looking for others who think similarly. The idea was simple. It was about creating a place for people who want to innovate locally. The initiator was Przemek, who is still actively involved in SCP and supports the development of the community.
Since then, a lot has changed. We have organized over fifty events, attended by more than a thousand people in total. Among them were founders, beginners, investors, specialists, and also people who just wanted to enter the world of startups and see what it looks like from the inside. At the meetings, there were presentations, pitching, coffee talks, and long discussions after the official part. Sometimes we left the meetings with new knowledge, sometimes with new contacts, and sometimes with new companies that were just being born.
Today, Startup Community Poznań is a place for those who want to build. Whether you are starting your first company or working on your hundredth business, our goal is to help you meet the right people: potential partners, investors, collaborators, and others who know what product development, customer acquisition, and business scaling look like. If you are here, you probably feel that now is the best time to try. You are right. This is definitely the most interesting time for entrepreneurship.
We organize meetings every month. We invite founders and experts who share knowledge, cases, and experiences from the front line. After the substantive part, we always stay for conversations and integration, because that is where the most important things happen. From these conversations come projects, investments, collaborations, and friendships. This cannot be built with any newsletter.
Currently, SCP is made up of a seven-person team: Przemek Siódmiak, Aleksandra Lemańska, Ela Martin, Antoni Pożywiłko, Daniel Semerjyan, Kamil Wojtalak, and Kacper Bartoszak.
Members of Startup Community Poznań include, among others, startup founders, entrepreneurs, small business owners, business angels, accelerators, and people who simply want to take advantage of the opportunities offered by running their own business.
